Boxerwood Garden offers programs for home school, summer camps, family outings, field trips, and so much more.

Camp is a great way to befriend one another and the Earth. Every summer, Boxerwood offers day camps for children from ages 4 to 17 to enjoy playing on our shady grounds, in the community, hiking trails and even rivers!

Our camps all share core traits that we think are essential for kids: an emphasis on community-making, adventures, creativity, service, wildness, wonder, scientific investigations, and play.

We’re also providing several contractual camps for Rockbridge and surrounding county children.  Please contact us if you are interested in taking part in these programs.

Raw Learning
101 VSDB Drive, Suite 5
Staunton, VA
24401

At Raw Learning we facilitate a personalized education for each student.  The environment considers the whole child by making opportunities available for their mind, body and spirit to be nourished.  Safety and freedom go hand in hand while the children explore their world.

Raw Learning is a place for children to come together using their own curiosity as a guide for what they will discover next.  Facilitators act as adult mentors to support deeper investigation into the specific interests of each child.  Policies are made by people who are involved in the day to day operation of Raw Learning.  Children and adults decide by consensus the rules that would help their learning.  Everyone works together to find solutions to all problems that work for Raw Learning as a whole and for each individual child.

Founded in 1912 by the Philathea Class of First Baptist Church, Waynesboro’s library was the third Virginia library to take advantage of the state law permitting the establishment of tax-supported public libraries. The first librarian was Virginia Leftwich, the mother of Ruth Graham (Mrs. Billy Graham).

Our library is located in the beautiful and historic Shenandoah Valley, about 90 miles west of Richmond, VA and is well-known for its extensive local history collection for Waynesboro and Augusta County as well as its genealogy resources.
